This policy covers the Remote vs Office website and its connector.

The calculator keeps your inputs in your browser. The connector processes the inputs your AI app sends and does not save them. The site has no accounts, sign-in, cookies, ads or third-party tracking scripts.

Everything you enter in Compare offers is calculated in your browser. Those inputs are not sent to the site’s server.

A comparison link contains the offer details after the # in its address. That part of the address is not sent to the server. Anyone you give the link to can open the comparison and see those details.

The site saves three things in your browser:

• Your light or dark mode choice.
• A small cache that helps display that mode when a page opens.
• Which daily data update Find jobs last showed you, so it can count new postings when you return.

These stay in your browser. You can remove them by clearing the site’s browser data.

When your AI app calls a connector tool, it sends the inputs needed for that request. For a comparison, these can include salaries, benefits and commute details.

The server processes those inputs in memory and returns the answer to your AI app. It does not write them to a database, logs or a cache, or keep them after the request.

Your conversation is handled by the AI app you use, such as Claude or ChatGPT. That app’s privacy policy governs how it stores and uses the conversation.

The site counts requests for its public data files under /data/v1/ to understand how the data is used.

For each request, the counter records the kind of file, the kind of reader and when the request happened. Reader categories include Claude, ChatGPT, browsers and scripts, based on the request’s user agent. These records are used for daily counts.

The counter does not record IP addresses, full user agents or anything you type.

These records are stored in Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine for three months.

Cloudflare Pages hosts the site. Cloudflare processes requests, including IP addresses, to deliver the site and its services. Cloudflare’s handling and retention of that information are covered by its privacy policy.

Job postings come from employers’ public job boards. When you follow a job link, you visit the employer’s website. Its privacy policy applies to information you provide there.
